Harry has a BS in Poultry Science, Business, and an MS in Agronomy from Mississippi State University. He has over 35 years of work experience in agricultural businesses.

Harry is retired from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture where he was the Director of the Feed, Fertilizer, Lime and Soil/ Plant Amendment Programs in the state. His charge was to enforce the laws and regulations of these four programs through the supervision of 15 District Inspectors across the state and an administrative assistant in the office. Harry also worked in the Pesticide Division as a pesticide inspector and a senior inspector and was a credentialed E.P.A. inspector. He was a lead inspector during the Methyl Parathion contamination caused by the spraying of this cotton poison in homes and other buildings on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1996.

Harry is a Navy veteran having served in the Seabees in Viet Nam in 1969 and 1970. He and his wife live in Starkville, Mississippi, and enjoy taking care of their seven grandchildren.
